Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager shall be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

1. Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, customer visits, market research and other appropriate sales channels.

2. Develop and implement effective business development strategies to expand the Company’s customer base, increase market share and achieve revenue growth.

3. Independently generate leads, acquire new customers and build a sustainable pipeline of business opportunities.

4. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and other performance indicators established by the Company.

5. Manage the complete sales process, including lead generation, prospect qualification, customer meetings, proposal preparation, negotiation, contract closing and after-sales follow-up.

6. Identify opportunities within relevant industries, including construction, marine, logistics, manufacturing, oil and gas, events and other potential commercial sectors.

7. Promote and present the Company’s products and services to prospective customers, tailoring recommendations to their operational and commercial requirements.

8. Prepare quotations, sales proposals, presentations, tenders, contracts and other relevant sales documentation.

9. Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to encourage repeat business, customer retention and referrals.

10. Conduct regular customer visits, site inspections and follow-ups to understand customer requirements and actively progress sales opportunities.

11. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and support business planning.

12. Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, production, procurement, finance and management, to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and fulfilled.

13. Maintain accurate records of customer information, sales activities, quotations, follow-ups, sales pipelines and secured projects using the Company’s designated reporting systems.

14. Prepare and submit regular sales forecasts, performance reports, customer visit reports and business development updates to management.

15. Ensure quotations, pricing arrangements and contractual commitments comply with the Company’s policies and approval procedures.

16. Support the timely collection of outstanding customer payments by coordinating with customers and the finance department when necessary.

17. Attend relevant exhibitions, networking events, industry meetings and other activities that support customer acquisition and business expansion.

18. Comply with the Company’s working arrangements, attendance requirements, clock-in and clock-out procedures, reporting obligations and internal policies.

19. Maintain the confidentiality of customer information, pricing structures, business strategies and other commercially sensitive information.

20. Perform any other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by the Company or immediate superior.
