Pharmacist (Operations, Data, technology)
About this job
- Manage and support daily pharmacy operations, including workflow coordination, inventory control, manpower planning and resolution of operational issues.
- Review operational processes and data to uncover workflow gaps, performance trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and maintain dashboards, management reports and operational KPIs to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Drive or participate in quality improvement and operational excellence initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, service quality, turnaround time and cost effectiveness.
- Assess existing workflows and identify opportunities to digitalise or automate repetitive and manual activities.
- Partner with IT teams and external vendors to convert operational needs into system solutions, covering testing, implementation, issue resolution and system enhancements.
- Serve as a Pharmacy System Superuser, providing user support and training while facilitating system adoption and contingency processes during downtime.
- Leverage data analytics, automation, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to address operational challenges and improve performance.
- Contribute to strategic and cross-functional projects involving analytics, transformation and process improvement, including initiatives beyond pharmacy operations where required.
- Keep abreast of developments in healthcare, technology, analytics and industry practices and evaluate their potential application to continuously enhance pharmacy operations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Pharmacy or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
- Must be fully registered with the Singapore Pharmacy Council and maintain active practice status.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to convert data findings into practical recommendations.
- Good understanding of pharmacy operations, workflows and process improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with exposure to data visualisation and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Prior experience in data analysis, dashboard creation and operational performance reporting would be preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in Python, SQL or other programming languages would be an added advantage.
- Exposure to automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning or digital transformation initiatives would be advantageous.
- Able to understand operational and business needs and translate them into system and technology requirements.
