Overview

The Design Engineer / Manager leads the design of M&E systems for data centres, ensuring compliance with performance, reliability, and sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed M&E designs for new and retrofit data centres.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and external consultants.
• Validate designs for compliance with Tier III / IV standards.
• Support capacity planning, load studies, and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–12 years’ experience in data centre or mission-critical design.
• Strong knowledge of redundancy, cooling, and power design principles.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools.
• Experience in sustainable design and energy optimisation preferred.
