About this job

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute trading strategies in energy derivatives markets, including LPG, natural gas, crude oil, refined products and other related commodities.
  • Trade and manage positions in futures, swaps, options and other derivative instruments across exchange-traded and OTC markets.
  • Monitor and analyse market fundamentals, price movements and industry developments to identify trading opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Manage trading exposure, market risk and P&L performance in accordance with approved trading mandates and risk limits.
  • Develop and implement hedging strategies to support the company’s trading and commercial activities.
  • Work closely with internal teams including risk management, finance and operations to ensure smooth trade execution and settlement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, counterparties and other market participants.
  • Perform any other duties or projects assigned by Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics,Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in energy derivatives trading, paper trading, or related energy markets (LPG, natural gas, crude oil, refined products, or other energy commodities).
  • Strong understanding of energy derivatives markets, including futures, swaps, options, spreads, and hedging strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in trading futures, swaps, options or other derivative instruments in exchange-traded or OTC markets.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and risk management skills, with the ability to evaluate market fundamentals, volatility, pricing structures and trading risks.
  • High integrity, professional ethics and sense of responsibility, with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken, as this role requires regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the preparation and review of bilingual business documents, reports and presentations.
