Role Overview
The Manager – Event & Professional Development is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of professional training programmes, conferences, seminars, and industry workshops for the construction and built environment sector. The role ensures that training initiatives align with industry needs, regulatory developments, and workforce capability building, while maintaining strong partnerships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and training providers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Professional Development Programme Management
· Lead the planning, development, and execution of professional training programmes, seminars, conferences, and workshops for industry practitioners.
· Develop and implement training roadmaps aligned with emerging industry trends, regulatory requirements, and workforce development needs.
· Identify skills gaps within the Built Environment sector and curate relevant training solutions in collaboration with industry experts and trainers.
· Ensure programmes meet quality standards, learning objectives, and industry relevance.
2. Event &Programme Execution
Oversee end-to-end programme management, including:
· Course scheduling and planning
· Venue sourcing and logistics coordination
· Trainerengagement and coordination
· Preparation of course materials and resources
· Participant registration and engagement
· Manage on-site or virtual event operations to ensure smooth delivery of programmes.
3. Industry & Stakeholder Engagement
· Establish and maintain strong partnerships with:
· Government agencies
· Industry associations
· Corporate organisations
· Professional trainers and consultants
· Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create industry-relevant training programmes and initiatives.
· Facilitate industry dialogue through forums, panel discussions, and knowledge-sharingplatforms.
4. Marketing & Programme Promotion
· Drive marketing initiatives to promote training programmes through:
· Digital marketing campaigns
· Industry outreach and networking
· Partnerships and collaborations
· Work with Marketing to develop marketing strategies, programme brochures, and promotional materials.
5. Financial& Programme Performance Management
· Manage programme budgets and ensure financial viability and sustainability of training initiatives.
· Monitorprogramme revenue targets, cost control, and financial performance.
· Prepare reports on programme outcomes, participation rates, and financial performance.
6. Programme Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
· Conductpost-programme evaluations and feedback analysis to measure training effectiveness.
· Implement improvements to enhance programme quality, relevance, and participant experience.
7. Workforce Development Programme Administration
· Work closely with Workforce Singapore (WSG) on the Career Conversion Programme (CCP), including:
· Employer engagement and programme promotion
· Facilitatingjob-matching between employers and candidates
· Processing claims and documentation
· Ensuring programme compliance with funding requirements.
8. Operational& Management Support
· Provide support to the General Manager in operational planning, problem-solving, and handling urgent tasks.
· Assist with strategic initiatives, project coordination, and reporting as required.

Requirements
- Degree qualification (any relevant field)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in training, events, or professional development
- Experience working with industry partners or government agencies
- Familiarity with Built Environment sector (advantageous)
- Ability to manage budgets and programme performance
- Comfortable handling urgent tasks and supporting senior management
