About this job

Job summary:

  • Responsible for leading the Quantity Surveying team, overseeing cost and contract management, project budgeting, contract administration, payment certification, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements while managing multiple projects.

The Role:

  • Lead the QS team, coordinate and oversee team performance
  • Oversee all aspects of QS processes.
  • Ensure quality of QS works and compliance with relevant legislations.
  • Coordinate preparation of project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Oversee contract management of variation works.
  • Oversee contract administration including final completion, statutory completion and final cost reports.
  • Oversee contract documentation and maintenance of database.
  • Review and approve payment certifications.
  • Conduct project audits.
  • Review schedule of rates and build up star rates.
  • Compile half-yearly tender rates and price information.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction cost management.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, valuation of variations, and handling contractual disputes.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.

What Do You Need to Have?

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Management or Facilities Management or equivalent.
  • He/she must possess at least 5 year’s of QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects.
  • Experience in public sector or town council projects will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Membership with SISV or other relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction cost management.
  • Familiarity with standard forms of contracts, valuation of variations, and handling contractual disputes.
  • Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and QS software.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
