Electrical Engineer (Commercial / Hospital Projects)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Electrical Engineer will manage site coordination, technical design interpretation, and installation quality for new build and Addition & Alteration (A&A) commercial and hospital projects. This position ensures projects strictly adhere to local Codes of Practice, ISO quality standards, safety protocols, and master schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Coordination & Technical Execution: Resolve technical issues on site, interpret electrical designs/Codes of Practice, produce/coordinate shop drawings, and align with main contractors to prevent rework.

• Quality & Subcontractor Control: Monitor and inspect installations by suppliers and subcontractors in alignment with ISO Quality Plans; identify non-conformance defects and minimize material wastage.

• Project & Schedule Management: Assist Project Managers in daily operations under master schedules, track progress, manage supplier delivery timelines, and lead client/internal progress meetings.

• Productivity Improvement: Explore innovative installation techniques and technologies to enhance overall site productivity.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience within a contractor environment.

• Certifications: Possess a Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) certification.

Quality Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9000, 14001, and 45001 standards; ISO Internal Quality Auditor certification is highly advantageous.
