Job Summary

SMMIS seeks an experienced Secondary School Maths Teacher to deliver curriculum-aligned lessons, support pupil progress, and contribute to a collaborative educational environment starting January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the mathematics curriculum effectively according to the School’s timetable to ensure student learning outcomes
• Update teaching methods by integrating current curriculum developments and best practices to enhance lesson quality
• Utilize ICT tools to support and enrich teaching and learning experiences for students
• Apply professional skills and judgement to adapt teaching strategies to diverse student needs and learning styles
• Monitor and assess pupil progress by maintaining accurate records of assessments and providing constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum delivery with individual student needs and school standards
• Promote educational progress for all pupils by fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Required competencies and certifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching performance
• Experience teaching GCSE and A level mathematics
• At least 5 years of teaching experience in secondary education
• Familiarity with International Education systems and standards
• Deep understanding of mathematical concepts and secondary curriculum standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in mathematics or a related specialist subject
• Experience teaching IMYC/IGCSE curricula
• Evidence of relevant in-service training

Other Information

• Salary will be based on individual teaching experience and qualifications. Salary advertised is inclusive of expatriate allowances
