Senior Executive, Finance & Accounting

Reporting to Assistant Manager, Finance & Accounting, this role is responsible for delivering Finance & Accounting services and business partnering support to companies within Mitsui Chemicals Group in Singapore. The scope includes financial and management reporting, month-end and year-end closing activities, budgeting and forecasting support, statutory compliance, and support for business and operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting and finance cycle for assigned entities, including transaction processing, reconciliations and month-end closing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Prepare financial and management reports, including variance analysis and supporting schedules.
• Support preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
• Provide Finance & Accounting support for business operations, projects, company initiatives, physical asset verification, inventory stock counts, and treasury-related activities.
• Prepare and coordinate corporate income tax filings, GST compliance, statutory reporting, and annual audit requirements for assigned entities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Participate in finance process improvements, digitalisation initiatives, and other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience in SAP will be an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
