Position: Sustainability Intern

Industry: Pest Control / Construction Sector

Location: Kaki Bukit (Relocating to Tai Seng soon)

Working Hours & Allowance: Open for discussion (in the range of $800-1000)

About the Role

We are a pest control solutions provider servicing the construction and commercial sectors. To advance our commitment to green practices, we are seeking a motivated Sustainability Intern to help drive our environmental initiatives, lower our carbon footprint, and secure relevant sustainability certifications in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Certification Applications: Assist in researching, preparing, and applying for local sustainability certifications (e.g., Eco-Office, BCA Green Mark alignment, ISO 14001 support).

• Carbon Footprint Reduction: Evaluate operational practices and help identify strategies to lower carbon emissions and energy use.

• SDG Framework Alignment: Map out and align internal processes with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

• Data Logging: Utilize Microsoft Excel to track green performance metrics, energy usage, and sustainability records.

• Job Scope Details: A detailed breakdown of specific responsibilities and key projects will be explained during the interview.

Requirements

• SDG & ESG Knowledge: Sound understanding of UN Sustainable Development Goals and environmental sustainability principles.

• Local Certification Familiarity: Knowledge of Singapore’s sustainability landscape and certification standards.

• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data logging and organization.

• Location Flexibility: Comfortable working at Kaki Bukit initially and transitioning to Tai Seng.

• Attributes: Resourceful, passionate about environmental impact, and detail-oriented.
