Senior Mechanical / Electrical (M&E) Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, design and administer contract/project of mechanical and electrical engineering works for building service including:

• Schematic, conceptual and detailed design of M&E systems.

• Preparation of tender drawings, specifications and cost estimates.

• Preparation of technical reports, tender evaluations and project documentation.

• Attend project meetings, site meetings and site inspections.

• Liaise and coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, contractors and relevant authorities on project matters.

• Review of shop drawings, material submissions and technical submissions.

• Contract administration and project coordination.

• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and statutory requirements.

• Testing and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.

• Lead and oversee the design and coordination of M&E projects from inception to completion.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

• Manage project schedules, deliverables and client expectations to ensure successful project delivery.

• Any other duties assigned in relation to project execution and delivery.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in M&E building services consultancy.

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services Engineering.

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or candidates working towards professional accreditation will be an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of engineering design and building services systems.

• Familiarity with local codes of practice and authority requirements will be an added advantage.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM/Revit software will be an added advantage.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Able to work independently, self-motivated and resourceful.

• Strong leadership, project management and client management skills.

• A proactive team player with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
