IB Year 8 & 9 Mathematics Tutor

We are looking for an experienced Mathematics Tutor to provide 1-to-1 tuition for students in Year 8 and Year 9 at Dover Court International School (DCIS), Singapore.

The tutor should be familiar with the British Curriculum and able to support students with their current school curriculum while building a strong foundation for IGCSE Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 Mathematics tuition for Year 8 and Year 9 students
• Follow and complement the DCIS Mathematics curriculum
• Review schoolwork, assignments and assessment results
• Identify learning gaps and strengthen core concepts
• Develop mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Prepare students for school assessments and future IGCSE Mathematics
• Provide regular feedback on student progress

Requirements

• Strong academic background in Mathematics, Engineering, Science or related field
• Experience teaching/tutoring secondary school Mathematics
• Familiarity with British Curriculum / KS3 / IGCSE
• IGCSE Mathematics teaching experience preferred
• International school teaching/tutoring experience is an advantage
• Able to teach confidently in English
• Patient, responsible and able to explain concepts clearly

Preferred

Current/former international school teachers, PGCE/QTS-qualified teachers, or experienced tutors who have taught students from DCIS or other British international schools in Singapore.

Arrangement

• Students: Year 8 & Year 9
• Location: Singapore, face-to-face preferred
• Format: 1-to-1 tuition
• Frequency: 1–2 lessons per week
• Start: ASAP
• Commitment: Long-term preferred
