Position: Facility Manager cum Fire Safety Manager (FSM)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Days: 5 days per week - Mon to Fri
Location: North area
Contract Duration: 2 years

Job Responsibilities
Facility Management
- Manage and maintain the school building and Building Management System (BMS) to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations.
- Monitor and coordinate essential services including lighting, power and water, and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Develop and implement planned preventive maintenance and repair programmes.
- Coordinate cleaning and other facility services to maintain a clean, safe and conducive environment.
- Review and renew preventive maintenance contracts to ensure continuous service quality.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable health and safety requirements.
- Manage and maintain necessary government regulations, licenses and certifications, including those related to food, lifts and swimming pool facilities.
- Coordinate and support school events, including preparation of classrooms, auditorium and audiovisual systems.
- Liaise with and escort authorities, contractors and vendors during inspections and maintenance works.
- Verify and certify invoices upon completion of contracted works.
- Assist with facility-related budgeting, forecasting and cost-saving initiatives.
Fire Safety Manager (FSM)
- Be registered with SCDF as the appointed Fire Safety Manager for the building.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining the Fire Safety Committee and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
- Develop, implement, review and update the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in accordance with prevailing fire safety requirements.
- Conduct monthly FSM inspections and prepare the necessary reports.
- Conduct emergency evacuation exercises/fire drills and prepare post-exercise reports on a half-yearly basis.
- Conduct Table-Top Exercises (TTE) and prepare post-mortem reports on a half-yearly basis.
- Prepare and submit the FSM Annual Report to the building owner.
- Organise and facilitate Fire Safety Committee meetings.
- Endorse Fire Certificate renewal forms where required.
- Liaise and coordinate with SCDF on fire safety matters, inspections and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advice on fire safety matters and ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Act and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a SCDF-registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM).
- Relevant experience in facility management and fire safety management, preferably in a school or similar large facility environment.
- Strong knowledge of building operations, maintenance, fire safety and statutory requirements.
- Good coordination, communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Looking for an all-rounder and team player who is hands-on, willing to assist across different areas and able to work collaboratively with the team.
