Job Summary

The Fund Accountant collaborates with internal teams to deliver fund administration services to external fund managers and asset owners in Asia, ensuring accurate NAV calculations and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV funds and portfolios following industry accounting practices, standards, and constitutional documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with fund and portfolio accountants and liaise with support functions to deliver NAVs timely and meet agreed KPIs
• Provide accurate statistical data such as KPIs on scheduled intervals to maintain service excellence
• Prepare NAV calculations in accordance with operational and system procedural manuals to minimize errors
• Develop and update operational and system procedural manuals to control operational risks and support daily activities
• Identify and document non-standard process flows for proper operational documentation
• Report and escalate operational incidents, breaches, or errors promptly to management for resolution
• Participate in operational meetings to review client needs and new business requirements, ensuring alignment with service delivery
• Proactively engage with clients to resolve fund administration queries and action points efficiently
• Work closely with clients and auditors under tight deadlines to fulfill client-specific reporting requirements
• Participate in transition planning and testing to validate new processes or system functionalities meet client needs
• Support new client onboarding and migration activities to ensure smooth transitions
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to support fund administration operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• University degree or postgraduate degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Securities Services Fund Accounting or equivalent preferred
• Strong accounting knowledge preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills preferred
• Persistence and perseverance preferred
• Good operational and technical skills preferred
• Good analytical skills preferred
