As the lead for the Asia region, you will manage a small team whilst being supported by outsourced parties to drive end-to-end service delivery, governance, and compliance of their payroll operations. Primary duties involve managing external vendor performance, optimizing payroll workflows, and leading regional transformation initiatives such as system enhancements and process automation. The role requires partnering closely with cross-functional corporate teams to handle financial reporting, executive compensation administration, tax filings, and internal control frameworks. Additional responsibilities include managing audit activities, monitoring regional regulatory changes, and providing strategic direction while directly guiding local team members.
skills and experience required.
Candidates must possess a relevant tertiary qualification alongside extensive progressive experience in regional payroll operations for direct and executive payroll, including dedicated leadership and team management practice within a multinational or shared services environment. Strong analytical skills, exposure to core enterprise HR and financial software, and demonstrated experience leading regional process optimization or system implementation projects are essential. Successful applicants will exhibit excellent stakeholder communication, strong business acumen, and the capability to balance strategic governance with hands-on operational oversight.
