About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The successful candidate will provide high-quality critical care nursing services, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while working closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor, assess, and document patients' clinical conditions and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Operate and manage specialised critical care equipment and monitoring devices.
- Collaborate closely with doctors, allied health professionals, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations and changes in patients' conditions.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.
- Provide education, support, and guidance to patients and their families where appropriate.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, training programmes, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid registration from the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Advanced Nursing Diploma in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and patient management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including night shifts.
