This entry-level position serves as a junior accounting specialist within the central finance division, focusing on core general ledger support, month-end closing procedures, account reconciliations, and financial reporting preparation.
roles and responsibilities.
The role entails supporting senior accountants in executing day-to-day general accounting duties, including posting journal entries, updating fixed asset registers, and performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. The position extracts transactional data from ERP accounting systems to assist with month-end schedules, intercompany balance matching, and audit trail verifications. Core duties include reviewing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable sub-ledger entries for accuracy, assisting with GST schedule compilation, and preparing preliminary trial balance commentary. The role collaborates closely with internal operational teams to resolve basic accounting discrepancies and ensure adherence to internal control policies.
skills and experience required.
Candidates should hold a recent Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics from a recognized university.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and an aptitude for data visualization tools are required to handle daily analysis tasks effectively. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical thinking, proactive learning agility, and good interpersonal communication skills.
