Private Banking Compliance, Senior Executive/Assistant Manager

We are partnering with an established financial institution that is expanding its Private Banking business in Singapore and is looking for an experienced compliance professional to support the establishment and development of its Private Banking platform.
This is an opportunity to be involved from an early stage, helping to develop the compliance framework, policies, onboarding controls, documentation and systems supporting the Private Banking business in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Support the establishment and development of the Private Banking business in Singapore, ensuring compliance with MAS regulations and internal policies.
Develop and enhance Private Banking policies and procedures covering AML/CFT, KYC, CDD/EDD, customer risk assessment and onboarding.
Draft and review account-opening documentation, customer agreements and product/service procedures.
Provide compliance advisory support across Private Banking products and services, including deposits, FX, financing, insurance and trust referrals, funds, bonds, equities and structured products.
Review Private Banking customer onboarding and ongoing compliance matters, including KYC/CDD/EDD, Source of Wealth (SOW), Source of Funds (SOF), PEP and sanctions screening, periodic reviews and transaction monitoring.
Support regulatory reporting, compliance escalation and remediation where required.
Work closely with IT and relevant stakeholders to define system requirements and implement Private Banking systems and compliance controls.
Partner with business, operations and Head Office stakeholders on compliance and regulatory matters.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Law or a related discipline.
Approximately 3–5 years of relevant Private Banking Compliance experience in Singapore.
Experience within a private bank, international bank or established wealth/financial institution would be preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD, SOW/SOF assessment, sanctions, PEP screening and customer risk assessment.
Good understanding of MAS regulations and Singapore's AML/CFT regulatory framework.
Experience supporting Private Banking client onboarding and compliance advisory.
Exposure to Private Banking products such as investments, structured products, FX, financing, funds and bonds would be advantageous.
Strong documentation and policy-drafting capabilities.
Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a growing business environment.
