Planning Engineer - Civil Engineer (East)
About this job
ABOUT THE ROLE
Ready to shape how major construction projects come together? We are on the hunt for sharp, detail-driven Planning Engineers to sit at the heart of project delivery - bridging design, planning, and site execution to keep builds moving from blueprint to reality. This is a hands-on role where your coordination skills directly influence how smoothly, and successfully, a project lands.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
● Drive project timelines forward - planning schedules, sequencing work, and tracking progress in real time
● Be the go-to problem-solver for technical design questions, working closely with consultants, clients, and internal teams
● Scrutinize construction drawings and specifications to make sure what's designed can actually be built, correctly and on standard
● Own key documentation - RFIs, method statements, progress reports - that keeps projects audit-ready and on track
● Bring energy to coordination meetings, untangling design issues and pitching practical solutions
● Act as the vital link between design intent and site reality, making sure nothing gets lost in translation
● Spot risks before they become problems and help build the plans that keep projects protected
● Keep records tight - drawings, approvals, and correspondence organized and accessible
● Champion quality on site, ensuring every phase matches approved design and standards
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
● Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
● PEB (Professional Engineers Board) recognized qualification
● 1 to 5 years of planning experience in building construction
● Solid grasp of construction methods and engineering principles
● Confident communicator, thrives working across consultants, clients, and teams
● Comfortable in MS Office; Primavera or MS Project experience a plus
● Natural problem-solver, always looking to learn more
● Thrives independently and as part of a team, even when things move fast
WHAT'S ON OFFER
● Performance bonus that rewards your impact
● Real career progression, not just a job title change
● Training and professional development to keep leveling up
● A dynamic, collaborative team environment where your input matters
