about the job
In this role, you will support daily HR operations with a strong focus on payroll execution, HR administration, and regulatory compliance, while working closely with the HR Lead to ensure seamless execution across all HR functions. Key responsibilities include:
- Payroll & HR Administration: Support end-to-end payroll processes (compilation, validation, submission, reconciliation) covering salary, benefits, allowances, deductions, and taxes, with detailed checks prior to finalization.
- HR Operations: Manage employee administration (contracts, onboarding, offboarding, data updates), maintain HR documentation, support recruitment (CV screening, interview scheduling, documentation), and respond to employee inquiries on HR policies and benefits.
- Process Improvement & Reporting: Develop Excel trackers with formulas, automation, and data validation; prepare periodic HR reports (headcount, payroll summary); and identify operational risks and process improvements for higher efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with Singapore labour regulations and internal policies, support internal and external audits, and maintain strict data confidentiality.
- Team Support: Work closely with the HR Lead, providing backup across all HR functions and stepping in to manage HR processes when needed.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant HR experience, especially in operations or payroll.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry would be advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (critical requirement), including formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF), data processing, reconciliation, and generating reports/basic dashboards.
