🎓 STUDENT GUIDANCE SUPPORT OFFICER

💰 Salary: $3,200 – $3,600/month
📅 Contract: 14 months
📍 Start Date: Oct 2026
🕐 Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:30pm
⏰ 45-min lunch break

🌟 JOB HIGHLIGHTS

Join a school team in supporting students and maintaining a safe, respectful and positive learning environment.

📌 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support student behavioural & safety incidents and assist with de-escalation
• Conduct fact-finding for misconduct and bullying cases
• Provide disciplinary, restorative and behavioural interventions
• Support students with social-emotional and learning needs
• Conduct home visits/neighbourhood patrols when required
• Engage parents/guardians and liaise with relevant agencies
• Maintain accurate case records and student information
• Support student development programmes and administrative duties

🎯 REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or higher, preferably in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work, Education or related fields
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience working with children/youths
• Experience in behavioural management, conflict resolution or case management is an advantage
• Patient, firm yet warm, fair and respectful when working with students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to remain calm when handling challenging situations
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

🏫 Working Arrangement: Monday to Friday
🚫 No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
📌 Service generally not required during school holidays, except where support for selected school programmes/operational matters is required.
