🍳 Food Lab Assistant

💰 Salary: $1,664/month
📅 Contract: 10 months | Jan 2027 – Nov 2027
🕐 Working Hours: Mon–Thu, 7.30am–3.30pm | Fri, 7.30am–12.30pm
📍 Work Location: Secondary School

Requirements:

• Minimum PSLE qualification
• Valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 Certificate
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience as an FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school
• Basic culinary and mathematical skills
• Good English communication skills
• Responsible, independent and a good team player

Key Responsibilities:

• 👩‍🍳 Support NFS Teachers during culinary lessons and promote food safety practices
• 🥕 Prepare and portion ingredients and equipment for lessons
• 📦 Receive food supplies and maintain inventory/stock records
• 🧹 Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards across the preparation room and kitchens
• 🔧 Check and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and supplies
• 📋 Perform other duties as assigned

Working Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7.30am–3.30pm
• Friday: 7.30am–12.30pm
• Lunch break is included in the daily working hours
• No service required on weekends and gazetted public holidays
• Occasional extended hours up to 6.30pm may be required on fewer than 10 days per year, with advance notice where possible
