Position Overview
The Legal Executive will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the company’s senior management, ensuring the efficient execution of daily legal operations, compliance management, and executive functions. This role requires a strong combination of legal expertise and administrative coordination to support business units, the Board, and senior leadership effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Legal & Compliance Support
- Review, draft, and provide legal advice on a wide range of documents, including sales and purchase agreements, lease agreements, financing documents, commercial contracts, memoranda of understanding, letters of offer, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Provide comprehensive legal and commercial support to business units, with a focus on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, company constitutions, marketing materials, and contract management.
- Liaise and collaborate with external legal counsel, government authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective legal services, including document execution, notarization, and statutory filings.
- Assist business units in identifying, addressing, and resolving legal, regulatory, and compliance issues.
- Contribute to corporate risk management, including updating risk management policies, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining the company’s corporate risk register.
- Handle all sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a legal or corporate environment (experience in Singapore’s legal environment preferred).
- Familiarity with corporate law, contract law, and commercial legal documentation; cross-departmental legal support experience is an advantage.
- Strong administrative and secretarial skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel internationally as required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with stakeholders of diverse language backgrounds.
