Assistant Manager, Settlements - Private Bank

A regional bank is looking for an experienced Private Banking Operations professional to join its team. This is a hands-on role covering investment product settlements, corporate actions, payments and operational improvement initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Process and settle private banking investment products, including equities, bonds, mutual funds, structured products and structured deposits.

• Handle corporate actions, position reconciliations and client statements.

• Manage SWIFT Alliance activities, including the release of SWIFT payments.

• Investigate and resolve issues relating to settlements, remittances and deposits.

• Participate in system enhancements and UAT, including supporting user training for new systems and processes.

• Identify practical improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce operational risks.

• Work closely with Front Office, internal stakeholders, custodians and counterparties to resolve operational matters.

• Support other operational initiatives and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant banking operations experience, preferably within Private Banking or Wealth Management Operations.

• Hands-on experience in investment product settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations or payments.

• Familiarity with SWIFT payment processing and release will be advantageous.

• Avaloq knowledge will be an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining effective operational controls.
