MAIN DUTIES: To provide a luxury level of service to Hotel Guests while completing a variety of tasks assigned by the Concierge.
Bell Captain Responsibilities
- Show attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Perform any other related duties as directed.
- Assist the concierge with the shining ritual.
- Abide by the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Handbook/Concierge induction book.
- Collection, delivery, handling and storage of all guest luggage as per procedure and record on the log book.
- Deliver guests correspondence and packages to rooms or wherever designated and record on the log book.
- Assist valets with guests when necessary.
- Ensure lobby presence is felt especially Boon Tat Link’s driveway entrance.
- Anticipate and offer assistance to guests, especially when they are seen with luggage.
- Be proactive and to offer transportation options to guests.
- Work with the team to achieve common goals.
- Practice and present a positive attitude at all times.
- Assist in achieving on-going improvements in the quality of service delivered to both external and internal customers.
- Ensure fast, effective and friendly service is provided to internal and external guests at all times.
- Escort guests to their rooms, explaining the facilities of the hotel en route, when required.
- Greet guests by name and introduce to the other team members whenever possible.
- Assist guests with any information requested and recommend the use of hotel facilities whenever possible.
- Only use approved contacts or vendors to offer transportation options. Other approved options would be applications as installed in the City Guru Duty Phone or iPad.
- Ensure the workplace and working equipment is clean and well maintained at all times.
- Comply with instructions given by the employer, for workplace health and safety at the workplace, including work policies and risk management procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment if it is supplied and training has been given in its use.
- Report any potentially or actually unsafe or hazardous conditions to the Workplace Health and Safety Officer or manager both verbally and in writing.
- Ensure you are familiar with the emergency procedures for the hotel including your role.
Requirements:
- Comfortable to stand for long hours.
- Comfortable with shift hours.
- Comfortable to work on weekends and Public Holiday.
