RoleDescription

The trainee will joinour in-house Market Research Team, delivering freight market anddry-bulk commodity analysis that supports our global business. Working closelywith our Shipbroking and S&P teams, you will transform market dataand industry developments into actionable intelligence for internal teams andclients

This role offersdirect exposure to the ship brokering industry, providing a strong foundationfor a future career in the maritime industry

Tasksand Responsibilities

- Drive smarter researchprocesses by developing and automating routines used to process and analysemarket data

- Build recognised expertiseacross dry bulk commodities, freight and shipping market trends

- Turn data into actionableintelligence through fact-based research and analysis of global market trends

- Stay ahead of marketdevelopments, form price views and communicate insights and recommendations tocommercial teams

- Contribute to high-qualityresearch publications, including market commentaries, studies and presentationsfor internal teams and clients

- Any other ad-hoc duties asassigned

Qualificationsand Capabilities

- Passion in Commodity Marketsand/or Freight Markets

- Strong skill set innumerical and/or data analysis

- Basic MS Excel proficiencyand database skills (eg. PowerQuery and/or Python)

- Strong communication skillswith the ability to communicate with various internal and external stakeholders

- Able to work well in asmall-knitted team and able to perform under pressure

- Independent and motivated,reliable and readiness to take on responsibility given

- Proficient in written andspoken English

- MUST be SingaporeCitizen or Permanent Resident

- Unable to support workingremotely outside of Singapore, must be able to physically come into office whenneeded
