This pivotal opportunity enables an actuarial specialist to step away from routine model execution into a high-impact technical assurance role.

• Spearhead independent reviews of direct life pricing structures, profit testing models, and reinsurance treaty terms to evaluate commercial viability.

• Assess reserve sufficiency, foundational assumption setting, and control frameworks across traditional life portfolios.

• Identify technical exposure areas across underwriting and product development functions to preserve balance sheet integrity.

• Translate complex actuarial analyses into actionable strategic guidance for executive leadership and the audit committee.

• Enhance internal assurance frameworks by implementing technical governance standards across core actuarial activities.

About the manager/team

Skills and experience required

• Near-qualified or fully qualified actuary credential (FSA, FIA, FIAA, or local equivalent).

• Proven experience within life insurance pricing, reinsurance arrangements, or reinsurer client advisory.

• Strong foundational knowledge in traditional actuarial areas such as valuation, asset-liability management, or product development.

• Strategic orientation with a desire to pivot from routine model production into high-visibility advisory and review work.

• Effective communication skills with a track record of articulating technical concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders.
