CHEF

We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards
• Ensure food is prepared with consistent taste, quality and presentation
• Plan and organize daily food preparation and kitchen activities
• Monitor food stock, ingredients and kitchen supplies
• Assist with menu preparation and suggest improvements where required
• Maintain proper portion control and minimize food wastage
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment and work areas
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use
• Coordinate with kitchen team members to ensure timely food preparation
• Assist with receiving and storing food supplies properly
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the management

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant Chef/Cook experience preferred
• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Physically fit and hardworking
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Responsible, disciplined and willing to learn
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• Relevant culinary qualification will be an advantage
