Speech Therapists - WCAN

Responsibilities for Speech Therapists:

• Provide professional assessments, consultation, and therapy services to patients.
• Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized treatment plans to meet their rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions in accordance with established clinical protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with patients and caregivers to discuss therapy goals, progress, and ongoing care plans.
• Provide guidance, training, and supervision to Therapy Assistants to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Support the coordination of staff scheduling and caseload allocation to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications for Speech Therapists:

• Recognized Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech and Language Therapy.
• Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Speech Therapist.
• Prior experience in a community hospital or rehabilitation setting is an advantage.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
