Supervisor – Carpentry

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily carpentry activities on site.

Assign tasks to carpenters and monitor workforce productivity.

Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and measurements.

Ensure carpentry works are completed according to approved drawings and quality standards.

Inspect workmanship and identify defects or areas requiring rectification.

Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and other trades.

Monitor materials, tools, and equipment required for carpentry works.

Ensure proper installation of doors, frames, cabinets, furniture, partitions, ceilings, and other timber works as required.

Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to the site management team.

Ensure compliance with site safety rules, procedures, and regulations.

Resolve day-to-day site issues and provide technical guidance to carpentry workers.

Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and work areas are kept safe and organized.

Requirements

Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Carpentry, Construction, or a related field.

Several years of experience in carpentry and construction works, preferably with supervisory experience.

Good knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.

Ability to read construction drawings and take accurate measurements.

Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a team.

Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
