Mental Health Nurse - WCAN

Responsibilities for Mental Health Nurse:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care plans.
• Support patients' recovery by providing education, therapeutic communication, and emotional support.
• Monitor patients' progress and communicate significant clinical updates to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation while complying with hospital policies and professional nursing standards.
• Foster a safe and therapeutic environment that promotes patients' well-being and recovery.
• Mentor junior nurses and contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications for Mental Health Nurse:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) licence.
• Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health) will be an advantage.
• Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to respond calmly and professionally in challenging situations.
• A collaborative team player with initiative and adaptability.
• Interest in developing a career in mental health nursing.
• Able to work rotating 3-shift schedules.
