We are looking for a caring, patient and passionate individual to join our Infant Care team. If you enjoy working with babies, are attentive to their needs and are interested in building a career in Early Childhood, we would love to hear from you.
You do not need to be a certified Infant Care teacher to apply. Candidates who have relevant experience and a genuine interest in working with infants, and who are willing to pursue the Career Conversion Programme (CCP), are welcome to apply.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys both caring for infants and engaging them in learning. You will be expected to gradually take on the full responsibilities of an Infant Care Teacher, including conducting learning experiences and activities.
Responsibilities
Build Security & Trust: Develop warm, responsive and trusting relationships with infants, providing comfort, reassurance and consistent care.
Provide Daily Care: Carry out routine infant care such as feeding, diapering, dressing, bathing and supporting sleep and rest routines.
Plan & Facilitate Learning: Take an active role in planning and conducting age-appropriate learning experiences and activities for infants, supporting their development through meaningful play, exploration and interactions.
Take on the Teacher Role: Progressively take on the responsibilities of an Infant Care Teacher, including leading activities, engaging children in learning experiences, observing their development and contributing to curriculum planning.
Observe & Respond: Be attentive to infants' cues, needs and individual routines, and respond appropriately to their emotional, physical and developmental needs.
Maintain Safety & Hygiene: Ensure a safe, clean, hygienic and stimulating environment for infants.
Document Learning: Observe and document children's development and learning through portfolios and other forms of documentation.
Partner with Families: Communicate respectfully and effectively with parents regarding their child's routines, development and well-being.
Teamwork: Work closely with fellow teachers and contribute positively to the overall team and centre environment.
Continuous Learning: Participate in professional development, reflective practices, centre programmes and community engagement activities.
Key Requirements
Passionate about working with infants and young children.
Caring, patient, nurturing and responsive to children's needs.
Willing and confident to take on both caregiving and teaching responsibilities, including conducting learning experiences and activities.
Relevant experience working with infants or young children is an advantage.
Early Childhood qualifications such as HCIC/CIT, ACECCE or ACEY are an advantage, but not a requirement for the right candidate.
Candidates who are interested and willing to pursue the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) are welcome to apply.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Willing to learn, adapt and grow professionally within the Early Childhood sector.
First Aid certification is an advantage but not essential.
