Job Description
- Lead the commercial and contractual aspects of enterprise bids, tenders, and customer proposals.
- Partner closely with sales, solution, delivery, legal, finance, and leadership teams to develop winning bid strategies.
- Assess and mitigate commercial, contractual, financial, operational, and third-party risks throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Manage governance processes and secure internal approvals within challenging tender timelines.
- Review, negotiate, and finalise customer agreements, subcontractor contracts, partnership arrangements, and service agreements.
- Provide guidance and resolution on complex bid-related issues to ensure commercially sound outcomes.
- Strengthen contract management practices, compliance standards, and bid governance frameworks through continuous improvement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Bid & Commercial Manager should have:
- Degree in Business, Law, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 6 years of experience in contract drafting, contract negotiation, and commercial management.
- Proven track record managing complex tender submissions, RFP responses, and enterprise bid processes.
- Experience negotiating customer-facing agreements and third-party supplier or partner contracts.
- Strong understanding of commercial risk assessment, governance, compliance, and contractual obligations.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions and seniority levels.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
