DGM is responsible for ensuring smooth operations in our Middle & Back Office.
He is responsible for ensuring the prudent and professional management of the Branch, its compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and assisting the General Manager (GM) in coordinating tasks related to treasury activities, loan approval and credit review.
Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee the Branch’s Annual Budget Planning & Budget/Expense Control
2. Assist GM in meeting the Branch’s target KPIs by
- implementing the business strategies
- ensuring that all the financial data of the company is updated & accurate
- monitoring the functioning of various departments & ensuring all are working on the right track
3. Management Representative or member of below Branch Committees
a. Risk Management Committee;
b. Credit Review Committee;
c. AML & Sanctions Committee; &
d. Third Party Risk Management Committee
4. Review & recommend updates/changes made to policies & procedures of the Branch, to align with regulatory changes in Singapore.
5. Assist GM by working closely with the Head Office to carry out the Bank's global strategies.
6. Communicate with Internal, External, HQ & Local Regulator's Auditors by
- providing requested documents & by responding to queries;
- ensuring all audits are conducted smoothly; &
- preparing & submitting regular reportsto GM, HQ & Regulators
7. Ensuring the prudent & professional management of the Branch & its compliance with the Banking Act (Cap 19),the Companies Act (Cap 50), all rules, regulations, notices & directives issued by the Authority & any other relevant laws and regulations. This include:
a) establishing & ensuring compliance with sound written policies on all operational areas, including the Branch's lending activities, investment activities, treasury activities, accounting, internal control, internal auditing & compliance with laws, rules, regulations & the notices & directives issued by the Authority;
b) ensuring that the Branch has adequate risk management systems & sound internal controls over its activities & operations.
Job Requirements
o Bachelor’s degree in any related field
o At least 12 years' Banking experience, including Planning or Risk Mgt or ALM/Credit Mgt related role
o Good understanding of wide range of corporate banking products
o Strong financial analysis & writing skills
o Strong analytical, critical thinking & presentation skills
o Prior team management experience
o Business proficiency in written & verbal English & Korean is required to communicate with Head Office, Singapore Branch & Overseas Branches. This includes preparing reports, presenting & attending to queries & questionnaires from Head Office’s Global Business, Internal Audit & Compliance Departments.
