Senior/First Vice President (Corporate Banking - Korean Corporates)

This role is responsible for supporting the growth of our Corporate Loan business in the Southeast Asian region, targeting Korean Corporate Clients. This role is involved in originating loan deals, writing & presenting credit applications to key stakeholders, reviewing loan agreements & performing post-deal risk management. This role is also involved in general administration support to the Branch.
Job Responsibilities
o Develop Corporate Loan business (both syndicated & bilateral loans) in the Southeast Asia region, targeting Korean Corporate Clients
o Maintain strong relationship with international, regional & local commercial banks to ensure good client service
o Write & present credit applications, review loan agreements & perform post-deal risk management (in both English & Korean)
o Review credit documentation (in Korean) to meet Korean regulator's requirements
o Review client due diligence & financial analysis
o Keep abreast of international lending markets & banking activities to understand & anticipate trends,with particular focus on Southeast Asia region
o Proactively share market information with colleagues in our Head Office & overseas branches on regular basis (in both English & Korean)
o Prepare regular & ad-hoc management reports (in Korean) for Head Office
o Mentor a team of general administration staff to support the Branch
Job Requirements
o Bachelor's degree in any field or professional qualifications such as CPA & ACCA
o More than 4 years’ corporate banking experience including experience in writing & presenting corporate loan (bilateral & syndication) credit application (in both English & Korean)
o Experience in corporate statement analysis, financial modelling, contract review, credit monitoring after loan execution & relationship management with Korean corporate clients
o Experience in trade finance will be a plus
o Experience in general administration of an entity or a function will be a plus
o Business level proficiency in written & verbal English & Korean is required to communicate with Korean corporate clients, Head Office, Singapore Branch & Overseas Branches. This includes preparing reports, presenting proposals, attending to queries on credit loan applications and Head Office's questionnaire/info request.
o Good interpersonal & communication skills
o Strong team player as a part of our Cross-Border Team in Head Office & our Corporate Banking Team in Singapore branch
o Willing to be flexible & work outside business hours as required, in order to accommodate multiple timezones
