Business Development Manager- Software Business

We are one of the country's largest ICT product distributors, working with more than 100 international brands - Microsoft, Apple, HP, Dell, HPE, IBM, AWS, Google, Fortinet and many others. Our customers include banks, multinational companies, government offices, and thousands ofSingapore businesses. Behind our Singapore office stands a family group with businesses across Asia and the Middle East.

Now we are starting something new: a software sales, consultancy and project implementation business, run from our Ubi Techpark office and delivered by ourgroup's own ISO-certified software engineering centre of more than 120engineers. The market is big and getting bigger: Singapore's IT outsourcing segment alone is worth about US$5.1 billion a year and growing 8.4 per cent a year, and 95.1 per cent of Singapore SMEs are already using digital tools.

Responsibilities :

● Find and qualify leads for custom software, ERP, cloud, AI, and consultancy projects - most deals are between S$25,000 and S$500,000.

● Turn Starseed's existing hardware and infrastructure clients into software clients - the fastest first wins, with introductions made for you.
● Run client discovery meetings and work with our architects to scope and price each job.

● Write proposals, negotiate and close contracts, and own the pricing within our company policy.

● Bid for government work on GeBIZ and help clients apply for PSG and EDG grants.
● Look after clients while we build: clear weekly updates, acceptance testing support, change requests, and renewing support contracts.

● Keep the CRM honest , join the weekly pipeline meeting, and report progress against plan every month.

● Represent Starseed at industry events and on LinkedIn, and collect the success stories that make future sales easier.
