WORKS TRAIN OPERATOR

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Safely operate and monitor works trains during railway maintenance and construction activities
• Adhere to established railway safety procedures, operating guidelines and worksite requirements.
• Carry out routine pre-operation checks on the works train and related equipment.
• Coordinate closely with site personnel and operations teams to support smooth and safe work activities.
• Monitor train and equipment conditions and promptly report any defects, faults or operational concerns.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
• Previous experience in railway, train operations, construction or a related environment will be an advantage.
• Physically fit and medically suitable for worksite activities.
• Willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good safety awareness with a responsible and disciplined approach to work.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Training and on-the-job guidance provided.
