Oracle GTM Functional Consultant

Functional Expertise

• Act as a functional expert, bridging the gap between business requirements and Oracle Cloud's advanced logistics capabilities.

• Lead end-to-end implementations, including requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, and deployment.

• Configure and optimise Oracle GTM processes, including trade compliance screening, Restricted Party Screening (RPS/RPLS), licence management, customs compliance, and declaration management.

• Define and validate integration strategies between Oracle OTM/GTM and other Oracle Cloud applications, such as Inventory Management and Order Management.

• Conduct business workshops, manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide post-go-live support.

• Support quarterly Oracle Cloud releases and perform regression testing to ensure system stability.

• Demonstrate strong domain expertise in global trade compliance, international shipping regulations, and multimodal transportation.

Oracle GTM Functional Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Global Trade Management (GTM).

• Thorough understanding of end-to-end GTM business processes and global trade compliance operations.

• Expertise in:

  • Restricted Party Screening (RPS/RPLS)

  • Product Classification (HTS, HS, ECCN, Schedule B)

  • Licence Determination and Management

  • Trade Agreement Qualification

  • Compliance Rule Configuration

  • Trade Transaction Processing

  • Declaration Management

  • Customs Compliance and Filing Processes

• Strong understanding of GTM master data, including Parties, Contacts, Items, Trade Transactions, Licences, and Declarations.

• Experience configuring and maintaining trade content sourced from third-party content providers.

GTM Configuration Expertise

Ability to independently configure, troubleshoot, and support:

• Automation Agents

• Saved Queries

• Data Queries

• Compliance Rules

• Service Preferences

• Service Parameters

• Workbenches

• Screen Sets

• Manager Layouts

• Actions and Menus

• User Roles and Access Controls

• Strong understanding of Automation Agents and SQL for event-driven processing and business process automation.

Integration & Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Oracle GTM/OTM integrations using:

  • HTTP POST

  • REST APIs

  • SOAP Web Services

  • CSV Data Loads

• Experience integrating Oracle GTM with Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), SAP, JD Edwards (JDE), and other third-party ERP systems.

• Ability to lead integration design discussions and define end-to-end integration architecture.

• Strong understanding of inbound and outbound transmissions, transmission troubleshooting, and reprocessing strategies.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) functional knowledge.

• Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Order Management and Shipping Execution knowledge.

• Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience.

• Knowledge of US AES filing, ECCN compliance, Export Controls, and Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ).

• Understanding of global customs regulations and international trade compliance requirements.
