Assistant Test Manager

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Test Manager to support the planning, coordination and execution of software testing activities across enterprise and business-critical systems. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to ensure testing activities are completed effectively and according to business requirements.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and monitor software testing activities across projects and system releases.
Review business requirements and develop appropriate test scenarios, test cases and test data.
Lead and support SIT, UAT, functional and regression testing.
Oversee test execution across frontend applications, backend processing, APIs, interfaces, batch jobs and file-based processing.
Perform data validation and database testing using SQL.
Support API and message-based testing, including SWIFT messages where applicable.
Manage defect identification, investigation, tracking and retesting.
Coordinate with Business Analysts, developers, vendors, technical teams and business stakeholders to resolve testing issues.
Maintain test plans, timelines, documentation and test reports.
Monitor testing progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Assist with test effort estimation, resource planning and scheduling.
Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to testing team members and new joiners.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant software testing experience.
Strong experience in manual software testing, SIT and UAT.
Experience in test planning, test case design, test execution, regression testing and defect management.
Working knowledge of SQL and database testing.
Experience in API, interface, batch and file-processing testing.
Familiarity with defect/test management tools such as JIRA, HP Quality Center or similar.
Experience working with enterprise, banking, financial services or transaction-processing systems will be an advantage.
Strong analytical, communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
