We are seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant (Network Security) to manage and optimize security platforms such as PAM, IAM, and micro segmentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
The role involves strengthening detection coverage, maintaining tool resilience, and supporting audits and governance processes, all while collaborating across infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to enhance overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and administer platforms such as PAM, IAM, and micro segmentation.
- Manage the onboarding and removal of applications, infrastructure assets, workloads, users, and privileged accounts within security systems.
- Support the deployment, maintenance, and ongoing management of cybersecurity technologies.
- Establish, refine, and enforce rules to ensure least‑privilege communication.
- Conduct discovery activities, verify inventories, and align asset data with CMDB and tool requirements.
- Partner with SOC, infrastructure, network, cloud, and application teams to enhance visibility, telemetry, and detection coverage.
- Keep cybersecurity tools updated, patched, redundant, and aligned with operational needs.
- Ensure conformity with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide support for audits, compliance reviews, regulatory submissions, and GRC processes.
- Prepare dashboards, metrics, and reports on tool coverage, compliance posture, risks, and initiative progress.
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, technical documentation, and configuration records.
- Guide junior team members and assist in resolving escalations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years experience in tools administration, cybersecurity engineering, or security operations.
- Hands-on experience with PAM, IAM, segmentation tools, and firewall
- Strong understanding of IAM, privileged access, asset discovery, segmentation, vulnerability management, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, ports, protocols, and encryption.
- Skilled in Windows and Linux administration.
- Experience working in regulated or infrastructure-heavy environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Experience with scripting, automation, and workflow integration.
- Ability to design dashboards, reports, and automated workflows.
- Security certifications such as Security+, GIAC, or CCNA/CCNP Security is considered an advantage.
- Networking certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are beneficial.
- Firewall certifications (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) are preferred.
- Familiarity with platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and cloud security is advantageous.
- Proficiency in scripting skills such as PowerShell, Python, APIs, and workflow automation is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud security across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments is preferred.
