Systems Analyst (Java) | Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst (Java) to analyze business requirements, design and develop enterprise applications, and support the implementation and maintenance of web-based systems. You will work closely with business users, project teams, and vendors to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze user requirements to translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise Java applications ensuring system performance, quality, and security
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors throughout the project lifecycle to deliver solutions aligned with business goals
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation to support development and maintenance activities
• Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving system issues promptly
• Participate in project planning and solution design to ensure effective delivery of IT projects
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and quality delivery of services and components
• Apply project management skills to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines
• Engage independently with business users to clarify requirements and provide technical guidance

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis, application and database design, software development, implementation, and quality assurance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Web), Hibernate, JPA, Angular/AngularJS, PrimeFaces, JSF, Node.js, REST/SOAP Web Services, AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and SQL
• Exposure to JBoss/WildFly, Eclipse, Oracle JDeveloper, IBM IDz, MS SQL, DB2, and Linux or Unix environments
• Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Responsive Web Design, and enterprise application development
• Experience delivering enterprise or government projects
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Proven ability to manage vendors and support large-scale Java applications

Other Information

• Employment type: Contract - 24 months (renewable)
• Location: Central Region, Singapore
• Working Hours: 8:30AM to 6:00PM (Mon-Fri)
• Salary: $6000 - 8000 per month (no bonus)
• Working Arrangement: Full Onsite/Hybrid
