Software Engineer- Java | Onsite | Contract

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with strong Java and AWS experience to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web-based applications. The role involves translating business requirements into technical solutions and delivering scalable applications using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse user requirements and translate them into detailed application specifications.
• Analyse, design, develop, test, implement and maintain enterprise and web-based applications.
• Perform database design and application integration activities.
• Develop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications using relevant frameworks and technologies.
• Support web application development, enhancement, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Work with users, project teams and vendors to deliver application solutions.
• Conduct application testing and quality assurance activities.
• Manage project-related activities and coordinate with vendors where required

Technical Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation and QA.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java Enterprise Edition / Java technologies.
• Proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate and/or JPA.
• Experience with Angular/AngularJS, jQuery or equivalent UI frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, Web Services, AJAX and XML.
• Experience with JBoss/WildFly and Apache/IIS or equivalent web servers.
• Good experience with MS SQL, DB2 and/or Oracle databases.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL.
• Experience with Linux/Red Hat Linux, Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience with Eclipse/JDeveloper and application testing tools.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage project/vendor activities.

Preferred: Experience in COBOL, CICS and DB2.
