About this job

We are representing our client in the marine sector to look an experienced Corporate Business Planning (Assistant Manager). The Corporate Business Planning Team supports the CEO and senior leadership in providing analysis and strategic insight that shape investment, portfolio, and business planning decisions. You will assist in corporate-level projects such as the evaluation of M&A opportunities as well as board-level reporting, KPI tracking, and partnering with stakeholders across the Group to strengthen the accuracy and rigour of our corporate planning process.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare board reporting analysis, including long-term cashflow projections and other analysis where required.
  • Consolidate board reporting papers in line with reporting timelines.
  • Annual townhall materials preparation and consolidation.
  • Execute ad-hoc special projects to enhance reporting accuracy and improve the quality of management insights.
  • Build and assess financial models, and related investment analysis, for transactions at corporate and asset level.
  • Coordinate end-to-end M&A process.
  • Prepare asset-related data analysis to support management's investment decisions.
  • Maintain documentation of investment decisions.
  • Identify and shortlist potential investment targets.
  • Conduct periodic KPI tracking, including coordination with departments for input.
  • Suggest improvements to the dashboard and analytical methodology to improve accuracy.
  • Coordinate, receive and review periodic KPI reports from group companies.
  • Track progress of the Business Continuity Project and other ad-hoc process improvement / corporate-level initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to Group companies and subsidiaries on ad-hoc analysis and harmonization projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or similar specialization from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 6-7 years’ experience in roles such as M&A, business planning, strategy, FP&A, valuations, or financial due diligence.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong aptitude for structuring and cross-checking data (verbal and written).
  • Comfortable working with senior management stakeholders across different business units.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously across competing priorities and deadlines.
