A government-linked organisation is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager to support youth-led initiatives and build meaningful partnerships with young people and youth-sector organisations.

About the role

You will support programmes that enable youths and informal youth groups to create positive change in society. The role covers grant administration, programme coordination, stakeholder engagement and hands-on support for youth-led projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess and administer grants, including applications, closures, governance and accounting requirements.

  • Improve grant-related processes and enhance the experience for applicants and partners.

  • Manage data processing, reporting and programme-related information.

  • Build and maintain relationships with youths, youth-sector organisations and other stakeholders.

  • Connect youth-led projects with relevant networks, mentors, funding opportunities and potential partners.

  • Plan and coordinate youth programmes, platforms and engagement activities.

  • Maintain relationships with programme curators and support activities that increase programme awareness.

  • Coordinate monthly youth engagement sessions and events.

  • Support other initiatives involving youth development and community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Experience in programme planning, implementation and coordination.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and inspire trust with youths and stakeholders.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong project management, critical thinking and numerical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work across different platforms.

  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.

  • A team player who can also work independently with guidance.

  • Experience working with youths or supporting ground-up initiatives will be advantageous.

  • Willingness to work on weekends when required.
