Coding & AI Teacher
The Lab Education Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Coding & AI Teacher to join our team. The role focuses on teaching programming, artificial intelligence and computational thinking to students aged 10 and above.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can make technical concepts engaging, practical and easy to understand.
Responsibilities
Conduct coding, programming and AI lessons for students aged 10 and above.
Teach primarily using Python, including programming fundamentals, problem-solving and project-based applications.
Introduce students to AI concepts and guide them in developing their own AI-related projects.
Adapt teaching methods according to students' age, ability and learning pace.
Provide guidance and support to students during hands-on coding activities and projects.
Prepare for lessons and ensure teaching materials and resources are ready.
Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain a positive, engaging and encouraging classroom environment.
Communicate professionally with parents regarding students' learning progress when required.
Participate in school activities, workshops, camps and other educational programmes when required.
Requirements
Proficient in Python and comfortable teaching programming concepts.
Strong interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence and coding.
Able to explain technical concepts clearly to children aged 10 and above.
Good communication and classroom management skills.
Patient, responsible and enthusiastic when working with children.
Able to work independently as well as as part of a teaching team.
Experience with block-based programming platforms such as Scratch is a plus.
Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred but not mandatory if you have strong programming knowledge and enjoy working with children.
Working Schedule
Working Days: Wednesday to Sunday
Both Saturday and Sunday are required working days.
5-day work week
Working hours will include teaching hours as well as preparation and administrative duties.
