Chief Executive Officer (Social Services) #HYN

Our client is a social service organisation dedicated to empowering individuals with physical challenges to lead meaningful, independent and fulfilling lives.

We are seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next phase of development. Reporting directly to the Chairman and working closely with the Board, the CEO will oversee day-to-day operations while driving the organisation’s strategic priorities for the next four years.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee client-focused operations, programmes and service delivery.
• Develop and drive fundraising strategies, including identifying and securing grants, funding opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Work closely with the Board and key stakeholders to establish organisational direction, goals and priorities.
• Maintain strong communication and governance cadence with the Board and relevant Committees to ensure effective execution and outcomes.
• Oversee annual budgeting, financial targets and resource allocation to ensure sustainable and efficient operations.
• Safeguard the organisation’s financial stability through sound cash-flow management, adequate reserves and prudent financial planning.
• Prepare and provide timely financial reports and updates to the Board and relevant regulators.
• Ensure consistently high standards of service delivery for clients and their family caregivers.
• Build, lead and retain a capable and committed team through effective coaching, people development and leadership.
• Represent the organisation externally as its key ambassador, building visibility, credibility and strategic relationships within the wider community.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen collaborations with government agencies, community partners and other stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong leadership experience within the social service sector or government healthcare environment.
• Candidates from private healthcare / private-sector backgrounds will not be considered for this search.
• Proven experience managing operations, people, budgets and organisational performance.
• Experience working with Boards, Committees and senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Singapore’s social service / healthcare ecosystem.
• Experience in fundraising, grants, partnerships or stakeholder engagement will be highly advantageous.
• Mature, hands-on and collaborative leadership style, with the ability to operate effectively in a relatively lean organisation.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Passionate about creating meaningful social impact and improving the lives of individuals and their caregivers.
