STE13503670 Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager (High Tech Manufacturing)

The Company

Our client is a fast growing organization in the high tech manufacturing sector and as they continue to expand their lobal footprint, they are seeking a Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager to join their dynamic team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing outsourced accounting operations, overseeing group cash management activities, driving treasury initiatives, and supporting various finance transformation projects across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Serve as the primary liaison with outsourced accounting service providers and bookkeepers.

• Review accounting work prepared by external service providers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and financial reporting deliverables.

Treasury & Cash Management

• Lead the review and monitoring of group cash positions and liquidity requirements.

• Prepare and manage cash flow forecasts for the Singapore business unit and consolidate group cash flow reports.

• Act as the key point of contact with banking partners on various banking initiatives, including fixed deposit planning, account management and banking administration matters.

• Support treasury-related activities such as interest rate swaps, hedging initiatives and other risk management programs.

• Ensure adherence to treasury policies, controls and procedures.

Compliance & Governance

• Coordinate and manage external audits and year-end reporting requirements.

• Liaise with auditors, GST/tax agents, corporate secretarial service providers and other external stakeholders on statutory and compliance matters.

• Support the maintenance of strong financial governance and internal controls.

Projects & Process Improvements

• Participate in finance transformation and process enhancement initiatives.

• Support implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with governance-related projects, process optimisation and ad hoc finance initiatives.

• Provide analytical support and recommendations to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following relevant skills sets and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.

• Experience gained in a Big 4 audit firm is highly preferred.

• Approximately 4 to 7 years of total experience, including external audit experience and ideally 1 to 2 years of commercial accounting or finance experience.

• Prior experience working with or reviewing the work of outsourced accounting firms/service providers would be advantageous.

• Exposure to treasury functions, including cash management, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships and liquidity management. Familiarity with treasury instruments such as fixed deposits, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange hedging or related treasury activities would be beneficial but not essential.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance and internal controls.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organisation and external parties.

• Hands-on, proactive and resourceful, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Agile, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
