Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Manage and optimize IT architecture, including physical and virtual systems, to ensure secure, efficient data flow and system reliability. Implement security measures and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and protect data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete IT architecture, including physical and virtual environments, to support business operations.
• Administer servers, operating systems, storage arrays, and cloud platforms such as AWS and VMware to maintain system functionality.
• Monitor and optimize data flow across LAN, WAN, and VPN networks to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Configure routing protocols, switching, IP addressing, and bandwidth to enhance network performance.
• Apply security patches and enforce data privacy policies to prevent data breaches and protect organizational data.
• Track system performance metrics and develop disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in operating systems including Linux and Windows Server.
• Expertise in virtualization tools like VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
