About this job

Objectives of the position:

The Production Planning Executive is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and optimal inventory levels. The role works closely with customers, purchasing, warehouse, production, engineering, and quality departments to meet customer requirements while maintaining production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand and forecasts.
  2. Create and maintain production schedules for cable harness assembly lines.
  3. Monitor production capacity, manpower, machine availability, and material readiness.
  4. Balance workload among production lines to maximize efficiency and output.
  5. Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams regarding material shortages and delivery schedules.
  6. Support ERP/MRP transactions and material planning activities.
  7. Monitor daily production performance against schedule.
  8. Identify bottlenecks, shortages, and production constraints.
  9. Coordinate corrective actions with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  10. Update production plans based on actual production results.
  11. Lead and guide the material handling team on the preparation and packing process.
  12. Monitor WIP (Work-in-Process), raw material, and finished goods inventory.
  13. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  14. Monitor KPIs including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Schedule Achievement, Inventory Turnover, Material Shortage Rate, and Production Efficiency
  15. Maintain accurate planning records and ERP system data.


Skills & Qualification:

  1. Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration
  2. 2 to 5 years of experience in Production Planning, Material Planning, or Supply Chain.
  3. Experience in cable harness, electronics manufacturing, automotive, or EMS environment preferred.
  4. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (SAP)
  5. Strong planning and organizational skills.
  6. Knowledge of production scheduling and capacity planning.
  7. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Power Query preferred).
  8. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
