Legal Counsel (Inhouse Generalist)

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct legal and compliance research and develop solutions to support the platform’s market expansion and business operations in target countries, providing legal advice for business and strategic decisions.
2. Provide comprehensive legal support for the platform’s day-to-day operations, compliance management, corporate governance, and regulatory engagement in target markets.
3. Support the handling of unexpected and complex matters, including local employee relations, escalated customer complaints, public relations issues, and other incidents. Provide legal assessments and practical solutions, and conduct case reviews to continuously improve business processes.
4. Monitor and research changes in local laws, regulations, and regulatory policies, while coordinating and managing external legal counsel and professional partners.
5. Draft and review commercial agreements, platform policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
6. Develop and provide compliance guidelines, training, and risk awareness programs for business teams to strengthen overall compliance awareness.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Law or a related field from a reputable university, with at least 1 year of relevant legal experience in an internet platform, law firm, or multinational corporation.
2. Strong interest in technology, innovation, and business, with the ability to independently identify, assess, manage, and mitigate legal and compliance risks across multiple markets.
3. Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
